Dj Mystro aka Cal Raynor began Dj-ing at the early age of 14 along side fellow friends in a local sound known as Outkas Movementz. Members of the sound include Cal’s brother Wayne ”Fire Wayne” Raynor Jr, Kemon ‘Jim Brown’ Simmons, & Julian ‘Julez’ Caisey. Once joining the group he was then mentored by Dj’s, Jim Brown and Aztec out of Florida. Over the years the group branched off into individual pursuits leaving Cal to be known as Dj Mystro. Mystro then began playing at small functions as well as youth dances.Shortly after he created his own sound, Dropzone Entertainment, with long time friend William ‘Billy” Glasford. They quickly ventured from being a music sound to be a mini production company recording various local artist in all genres of music. Once seeing the potential of the production company he then decided to further is education in the field of Audio Engineering at SAE Institute in London. Once returning from school, Mystro took a small break from Dj-ing to focus on school and bettering himself in the production area.

Once returning to the Dj world in late 2008, Dj Mystro started out with small house parties and private gigs. Eventually his name became popular again resulting in him being booked for more upscale events. Mystro began Dj-ing at corporate events, christenings and club parties, just to name a few. From 2009-2010 Mystro started a promotional team “D&D Entertainment” putting on parties at Southampton Rangers every month. These parties made Southampton Rangers become one of the main party spots when it came to sports clubs. In 2012 Mystro was the Dj for the International Carifta Games. Due to the overflow of dates Mystro joined up with long time friend Runako “Kurly Shotta” Hill in King Star Muzik. Dj Mystro has played along side almost every Dj island wide.

While Mystro loved Dj-ing at parties, he knew something was missing in his music life. After a few appearances with Dj I-Chill on Irie FM98.3 he knew he wanted to become a radio personality. He even received numerous request to return on the show. Mystro then realise he was a natural on the radio. He has a solid base in Reggae music but has also branched out into different genres including Soca & Calypso, Afro Beats, Funky House, etc. Currently, Mystro is one of the house Dj’s at Paget Primary School, Inferno Lounge 2, Southampton Rangers & The Mid-Atlantic Boat and Sports Club. Dj Mystro continues to strive at accomplishing his dream of becoming a radio personality, all while keeping himself current with the changing Dj scene.
